Tony x Child!Reader Storm with Tony Part 2

The first night living in the tower wasn't too bad. Thor had told you to just take it easy tonight and he would go with you and Bruce tomorrow to get the adoption papers filled out.
That night after Thor had taken you and helped you into bed, you had found it hard to walk right after the incident with the man. He had hit you hard in the head many times, Bruce was afraid he had done some sort of permanent damage to you. You insisted you where fine, well.. not in so many words. You said you were ok and that was that.
You still didn't talk much to them, Thor did most of the talking anyway. Though you didn't mind, you liked it when he talked to you. While you were waiting of night to fall Thor told you stories of the many battles he had fought and won. You liked the story he told you, and he seemed more than happy to share. Before you knew it Bruce had told you that it was best for you to go to bed before it got too late.
You didn't argue, even though you would have rather stayed up and heard more stories from Thor. You did what you were told like you had always done. You told them good night, in the softest and shyest manner possible, and went to bed.
As you lay in bed now, you lay on your side so you could see out the large window in your room. You hadn't fallen asleep, or more so you couldn't. You had been trying to fall asleep for the last 4 hours or so, but it never came. You just lay there, watching as the skies slowly filled with the dark skies outside.
For a while you thought nothing of the looming dark clouds, all that roamed your mind now was that man from before. You recalled Thor had called him ' Brother Antony '. You recalled the glowing circle on his chest. Why was it there? Another thing you couldn't help but wonder was why did Thor had to persuade him so much. You were use to people not wanting you around but he seemed pretty upset you were even in the tower to begin with. That didn't seem quit right though. You also recalled when you first saw him on the balcony after Thor saved you. He looked happy to see you were ok and concerned right before you blacked out.
You sighed as you turned and lay on your back, that's when the first bright flash of lightning happened. Moment later your body practically shook at the force of the thunder. A memory of the orphanage care taker flashed as you closed your eyes from the next flash of lightning. The clap of thunder following the sounds in your memory of the care taker throwing a vase at you, shattering on contact with your chest.
Tear filled your eyes as you covered your head and body with the large blanket. Sniffling you curled up in attempt to break free from the memories that flooded back with the loud claps of thunder.
This went on for a while, more memories came with each bang, more tears and every ounce of fear you've ever felt in your life coursed through your small form.
Through the next bang of thunder you could hear the audible sound of your bedroom door creaking open slowly. You whimpered and cried softly as you tried to stay hidden from the storm.
"Yo kid." You heard a slightly familiar voice say."You alright?"
You peeked out from your hiding spot and looked at the man. It was Antony. You could tell it was him in this dark room from the glowing circle on his chest.
"Storm keeping you up?" He asked casually as he leaned against the door way.
You nodded shyly, a few tears still streaming down your face.

You saw a small grin cover the mans face. "Want to hang with me? I was about to get off for the night and get some frozen yogurt when Garvis said you were having a hard time here. Figured you would, also figured Thor would be sleeping to soundly to get up to help you. Either way, wanna come get some frozen yogurt with me? Kids like that kinda stuff right?"
You nodded softly.
"Well then common kid," Tony said, leaving the doorway and walking down the hall.
You quickly got up out of your bed and chased him down the hall. Once you had caught up he had opened the elevator and waited for you join him before he pressed a button in the middle of the many buttons that was to choose from. You yelped as the elevator began to move down, almost falling you grabbed onto Tony's leg and held on for dear life as you continued downwards. Though you couldn't see his face Tony was looking down at you with a embarrassed small smile. He said nothing though but stayed quiet as you held tight to his pant leg.
After a while more the elevator came to a sudden halt, the doors slowly sliding open for you two to exit.
Tony waited for you to let go of his leg before stepping out. You followed close behind him as he walked down a few halls and into a open room that looked kinda like a coffee shop. You followed Tony over to one of the tables where he sad down. With some difficulties you managed to pull yourself up onto the chair and sit across from him.
"What do you want kid?" He asked as he leaned one elbow on the table.
"Do they have (F/F)?" You asked with a small tilt of your head.
"Yep." He said with a grin. He turned to look at the worker wiping down one of the tables. "Hey! Two (F/F)s."
The woman nodded. "Right away Mr. Stark."
She quickly went to work on getting the two yogurts for them. You watched her for a moment before looking back to Tony. He was typing something on his phone. You looked down and started to trace out some of the lines on the wooden table with your finger out of boredom. For a long while it seemed like the eternal quietness would continue forever, that was until a huge crack of thunder caused you to nearly jump out of your skin. You hid your face in your folded arms on the table.
"You alright?"Tony asked looking up from his phone.
"I'm fine." you attempted to say in a strong voice, but only managed to come out with a shaky and scared one.
"Yeah really sounds like your with the strong souls now kid."
You whimpered,  shaking softly as you tried to keep yourself from crying. "I said I'm fine.." You said more sternly.
Tony simply nodded as the worker brought over two bowls of frozen yogurt, spoons stuck into the frozen substance. As she walked away you looked up and pulled the bowl close to you. Your small hand grasped the middle of the spoon and dug into the cold yogurt and took a small bite. Your face brightened as the (F/F) flavor covered your taste buds.
You continued to eat, unknowing that Tony was watching you. Not creepily. Just watching like a curious child would be watching something new and intriguing. He soon looked down to his own bowl and began to eat it.
You look down to your spoon as you found yourself not eating anymore. You were to nervous, why did he want you around to eat frozen treats with now. You wanted to ask, but were to afraid of what he would answer. Was he taking you here to let you off easy on saying the no longer wanted you to stay here? You had to ask... or else it would be eating at you the rest of the night.
Looking up you found your eyes meeting his. A shiver of fear ran its way down your spine as you held tighter to your spoon
"A-antoy..." You said softly, before you could say anything else Tony chuckled.
"Kid just call me Tony. Thor's the only weirdo that calls me by my full name."
You nodded."s-sorry-"
"What's your name?" he asked cutting you off.
"(Y/N)," you stuttered and looked down.
"Cool name." He said simply as he took a large bite of his frozen treat.
After a few more silent minutes pasted you took the courage you gained up before and gulped. "T-tony?"
"Yeah sprout?" He asked, finishing up his yogurt and leaning back in his seat with a smile.
"Do you not want me here?" A sliver of fear deep in your heart as you asked.
His smile suddenly disappeared and was replaced with softened eyes and a sigh.
"Figured you'd ask that." Said Tony as he rubbed his neck."Listen. It's true I didn't want you here because I thought you were gonna be a distraction mainly to me and Bruce's work. He seemed to work fine knowing you were here though, kinda squashed my worries there."
You nodded as you moved the melting yogurt around in the bowl with the spoon.
"Your not so bad kid. Always though kids would be winey little sh-" He coughed, cutting himself off from saying a word he realized he shouldn't say in front of you.
You shrugged and took a bite of your almost liquid treat and yawned. Tony smiled some as he stood and stretched.
"You ready to head to bed kid?"
You looked up at him and nodded. "Sorry I didn't finish this.." You say as you nod you head towards the melted soup of what use to be (F/F) yogurt.
"Don't sweat it kid. Common, lets head back." He turned and waited for you to catch up to him.
You nodded sleepily as you began to try and climb down from the higher up chair without hurting yourself. After a moment of watching Tony chuckled and walked over to you, gently picking you up from under your arms and turning you around to face him. Sitting you on the base of his forearm he held you up as he walked over to the elevator. You didn't argue him holding you, you were to tired to walk anyway.
The elevator opened and he stepped in. You yawned tiredly as you held tight to his shirt, resting your head in the crook of his neck.
As you almost fell asleep in his arms Tony had taken you back to the floor with your room. He walked down the hall and took you into your room, turning the light on before taking you over to your bed. Carefully he pried your unwilling hands off his shirt before gently laying you in your bed. You yawned and smiled.
"Thank you.." You said in a soft tired voice.
He nodded." No problem."
As he began to walk out a crack of thunder echoed the room causing you to sniffle, moments later the lights flickered before turning off. You gasped as even the nightlight Thor gave you went out.
"The hell?..." You heard Tony say as he flicked the light switch on and off a few times. Least to say nothing happened when he did so.
He pulled out his phone and flicked it on. "Gravis. What happened?"
"Lightning damaged the connection between the Arc Reactor and some of the top floor levels. I'm working on repairing it now sir," said a male voice from Tony's phone.
Tony sighed, you could tell he turned to face you again from the sudden glow coming from his chest now facing you. You couldn't stop whimpering and whining as he began to walk closer to you.
"Scared of the dark too?" he asked with a seemingly sad chuckle. "How about I stay with you tonight?"
You nodded as he picked you up and laid down on your bed. Gently he set you down next to him, gently keeping his arm around you.
"Don't think this is gonna be a every night thing (Y/N)."
You nodded again as you curled into his side. The man held you closer as a flash of thunder shone through the open window. Thunder following suit. You cried softly from the loud sound.
Tony sighed and gently pulling you to his chest. You opened your teary eyes to see the soft yet bright light of the small Arc Reactor in his chest. You could hear the soft buzzing sound it gave, in tune with the soft beat you heard form the mans heart. You smiled some as you closed your eyes.
Rain began to beat down against the window, along with more thunder and lightning. Though you didn't care, you had your own personal nightlight even when the power was out. His name was Tony Stark.
